Hi Judy,

While I think your theory on colic and CMA is an interesting one I have to
comment that I have seen collicky babies who are breastfed. I DO believe that
some of those babes who are miserable and fussy on abm are allergic and not
simply collicky. What I have observed in my practice is that if a baby is
collicky on breastmilk they will undoubtably be worse on cows milk. Here I
feel we are dealing with the way the baby's gut responds to the digestion on
cows milk. Certainly there is a strong possiblity that allergy to dairy is a
part of colick, whether baby is getting it from abm or through mom's milk when
she eats dairy.

I hope that my thoughts make sense. It's sometimes hard to get clear thoughts
out while typing on the computer. Anyone else have any comments?

Yaffa
