According to Mackie et al's paper, breastmilk normally contains 
bacteria.  Which makes sense if you think about it - the milk ducts are 
open to the skin, which isn't sterile.  Either they found a specific 
germ they were worried about, or, more likely, somebody didn't realise 
this was a normal finding and gave her bad advice.  I think she should 
arrange to discuss her concerns with whoever was in charge of her case 
at the time, to find out if they're actually founded on anything.
