"Cognitive deficits in women after childbirth."

How like our Western model of birth to say something like that! We might just as correctly say that ducks are stupid, or that moles are compromised by their poor vision. The brightest human wouldn't survive very long as a duck, and a mole has exquisitely sensitive whiskers that are of far more use to it than eyes.

No women *don't* have "cognitive deficits" after childbirth. They just have no mind for remembering left-brain prattling. Under normal circumstances they're *inhaling* their new babies, resting, and learning vast amounts about their babies and about themselves and about mothering. They are simply doing more important things than pretending to be male.

"Cognitive deficits". Humpf!
