Heather spoke of how moms who breastfed fine in their native land would
not do as well when transplanted into a bottle-feeding culture. It
reminded me of a talk I heard several years regarding the Hmong
refugees. The speaker (Hmong herself) described all the problems the
immigrant moms seemed to have making enough milk when it was never a
problem in Viet Nam. Her explanation was,"There must be something that
happens when a woman crosses the International Date Line that causes her
breasts to malfunction!" (TIC)
