I may have many who disagree with me, but I am actually rather glad
that "this entire affair is a very serious matter" as stated by Dr.
Larry
Gartner. It's about time the lid blew off the formula industry's behind
the scenes dictation of the health of the world's infants.
The formula company marketing tactics make me angry, but that's what
they do and American law allows them to do it.
What makes me angry is the fact that Dr. Johston, the head of the AAP,
and others like him appear to have sold out to the formula companies.
That is a serious ethical breach. I also have the sense of deja vu all
over again here. Didn't we have a problem with the AAP and the
breastfeeding book with the formula company logo on it? Wasn't that
just in the last year?
