Dear netters, i try sometimes with clients who give no colostrum that
sometimes western ways are wrong, and that we have found colostrum is good
for the baby. Leave the choice to her. But always ask , who will be feeding
the baby , sis , friend or what ever and suggest the A**** or large
M******* nipple. also if she is uncomfortable, I hook up a pump, milk the
colostrum out, label it, and then pronounce the dirty milk all gone, and
then let the baby nurse. I turn the labeled milk to the nursery and have
the nurses use it for the baby at night. Sorry, I normally do not believe in
separation, but these two hospitals are known for keeping the babies at
night, so it is better than formula. And I am not employed by these
hospitals for some private patients so I try not to be too critical.
