Carol,
This is very interesting. Since I have been taught that humans seek to move
away from pain as a priority before moving toward pleasure, this makes
perfect sense. Breastfeeding is perceived as giving pain more than artificial
feeding is perceived as giving pleasure. So, mothers are moving away from it,
rather than toward AF. So, we want bf to be perceived as pleasurable *and* AF
to be perceived as painful, both of which are true.
