Laurie,

Do they know the source of the mother's infertility? Is it related to her
injury, or something else?  Have her breasts been changing during the
pregnancy?  Those are two primary issues to investigate.

You might want to check out the article below, which discussed three
successful lactations of women with spinal cord injury, a situation which
may be similar to what your mother is facing. With one "good" side, she may
get enough stimulation hormonally, though how the local feedback will work
in the one breast should be very interesting to observe.

Beyond that, acupuncture might be of benefit should she need additional
stimulation; it seems to work quite well in certain situations, stimulating
both prolactin and oxytocin without the use of medications.
