I posted asking for info on the problems with the Weston A Price
Foundation's recipe for infant formula in order to help a friend
refute the terrible information given in this post and the comments.
Cheeseslave is one of the most prominent bloggers in the traditional
foods world and this recent post has people up in arms. She's not
really invested in hearing from the other side--she won't accept Kathy
Dettwyler as a legit authority--but if anyone wants to wade into this
minefield, you could do a lot of good! (And if you read all the
comments, please share a chuckle with me over the image of a mom who
will only eat junk food herself but is motivated to source raw milk
for her baby in place of her "bad" breastmilk.)

Anyway, I had thought that someone did a very helpful breakdown
showing that the protein levels in the WAPF recipe are much, much
higher than those in breastmilk, but perhaps I read it somewhere else
and now can't source the information. I am no scientist and that kind
of work is beyond me, but if anyone can do it I would welcome the
information.

Thanks,
Annie Frisbie (IBCLC, LLLL, Queens, NY, where WAPF is very popular)
