Hello All, There has been some pre-term and at risk babies in our community
that have been sent to a large university based hospital. When they come
home many have been instructed to have increased calorie formula, along with
breastfeeding. They have instructions to mix the formula, liquid, with equal
parts breastmilk. The last infant has had kidney problems and I have been
wondering about protein overload on the kidneys. Was wondering if any of you
have worked with this, and would like your input. Thanks, Lorna Humphreys,
IBCLC
