Your question is "If there has been overlying, and
therefore suffocation of a breastfeeding/co-sleeping infant, then is it SIDS??"

No.

"Or is it a *known* cause- suffocation- and therefore has no place in the
"statistics" of SIDS deaths?"

Yes.

The problem is, from what I have read here on Lactnet (and what I have
observed elsewhere) that Mr. Ezzo, time and again, offers himself as an
expert and final authority; takes things out of context, or quotes
incorrectly from actual reports and information (not to mention the Bible).
He cites experts, without naming them, and claims he is supported by
groups that not only don't support him, but some of whom actually disclaim
him, and/or oppose what he is teaching. In many cases, rather than
saying he's quoting, he lets the reader makes the inference that he is
quoting. Finally, according to my reading here, HE DOES NOT CARE
if his version differs from the actual facts. He can, and does claim, the
facts are wrong.

Reminds me of an old gag-line on a coffee cup or somesuch, with many
variations:

"I'M KNOW WHEN I'M RIGHT!!! Don't try to confuse me with the facts."
