Thank you to all who wrote to me privately and to the list . This Mom is very
thankful as well when we tried all the suggestions. This little boy did latch
on on Thursday with the use of a nipple shield. We used the contact shield,
and braught him in to her breast leading with the chin in the cradle hold. At
one point he seemed to extend his own head a bit andhis chin went deeper into
mom's breast and the sucking effectiveness did get even better. He stayed at
her breast for 20 minutes and was calm, relaxed, swallowed about every 3-4
sucks and mom felt a nice tug on her breast. She was so happy.

Over the last 24 hours she reports latching at each feed, with consistent
swallowing a little more frequent than every 3-4 sucks. She is still offering
supplements of her EBM  and she is pumping for insured good supply at this
point.

She feels much more hopeful at this point.
