I wonder.....I think the volunteers have come forward solely to do 
this loving act *because* breastfeeding is being seen as just the 
milk. One sole person, feeding their donated milk in a bottle, 
staying with the baby long-term, is better.  That could even be 
easier to arrange.

However, I agree, it may well be the only solution available to the 
family at this time. We can't judge the details.

But speaking generally, we know that consistent care-giving by one or 
two people is the physiological, psychological and emotional norm for 
human infants.
