Dear colleagues

Is there anyone on the list who has experience with a baby with a
tracheostomy. This baby has something wrong with the vocals cords.

The baby is 7 days old and being fed breast milk via a nasogastric tube.
(I will know more in the next few days)

I am way out of my comfort zone, but would like to support mother and
baby. Will this baby be able to breastfeed?

Any advice offered would be gratefully received. Does anyone have articles
that they would be willing to share.

Sincerely

June Nicholls

IBCLC/Midwife
