I have never come upon this problem before.
A mom is having pain at the base of her nipples. (R) nipple pain on inner
aspect at base of nipple; (L) nipple pain on outer aspect at base of
nipple. Occasional blanching of nipple, but doesn't cause Mom discomfort.
Site has no signs of trauma. The five week old baby is nursed in cradle
hold.  When position of baby is changed still has pain same location.
Hurts also between feedings. Baby is gaining weight well. Not signs of
problems with baby's suck or latch-on that I can see.
Any ideas or suggestions?  TIA
