From Jack Newman MD.

"Of course she can breastfeed even if she has an intraductal papilloma.
Likely, though, this is "rusty pipe syndrome", whatever that is (probably
blood vessels enlarging and leaking blood into the ducts). And it usually
clears up spontaneously. It occurs more frequently just after delivery, but
it does occur frequently enough during pregnancy.

Even if she couldn't breastfeed on the affected side, she could feed on the
other, couldn't she? A physician that doesn't know that if you don't feed
on one side, it will dry up, but the other side will continue producing.
You can feed twins with two breasts, you can feed one baby with one breast.
But she can feed on the affected side."

Jack
