Does anyone have handy any MD respected information to guide me in supporting
co-sleeping?

Go to the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine web site, www.bfmed.org and click
on Protocols on the left side. We have an evidence-based protocol/guideline
re co-sleeping. For most of human history and still for most infants
world-wide, sleeping with the parent is the NORMAL way to sleep. What is the evidence
that this new way to sleep (in a crib) is safe? After-all, isn't SIDS called
"crib death"? As Jim McKenna points out very clearly in his books and
papers, we have been using cultural mores, instead of science re parenting issues
for a long time in the USA.
