I rarely see HB moms -- most of them don't have problems bf, so....!!!  I've
BEEN a home birth mom myself - though one of the few w/ bf problems (take a
bow, Timothy)!  But I've never seen a home birth mom w/ edema such as we have
been describing, nor have I seen a mom who birthed without Pitocin w/
swelling.  Of course, keep in mind that moms in the hospital all get Pit
after the birth because we all know that *just* breastfeeding won't keep the
uterus clamped down appropriately.

Unless, of course, you are delivering in a *real* birthing center (take a
bow, Family Birthing Center, Southfield, MI) where they don't use Pitocin,
but believe in Natural Oxytocin Stimulation and breastfeeding.
