This question was passed on to me and I'm not really sure of what to think.
About 1 year ago, this woman gave birth. She had a lot of problems with
sore, cracked, nipples, and was also treated eventually for a fungal
infection. She apparently never got to a comfortable stage and ended up
pumping and bottlefeeding EBM for 2 months. She is pregnant again and quite
concerned that she may repeat these difficulties. She called my friend to
ask her about a large blister- like 'wound' about the size of the end of a
pencil that she has on one nipple. Her Dr. has prescribed a cortisone cream.
Does anyone have any ideas what may have caused this or what exactly it may
be. I didn't actually see it myself. Thanks for any ideas, Marilyn
