My cousin had her first baby about 3 years ago in Springfield Ill, St Johns
Hospital. I was the only BF mom in my family but I persuaded her to try it.
Her freebies included a manual breastpump and an insulated bag with "blue
ice" and a load of children books. I'm not sure if this hospital is listed
"Baby Friendly."
She nursed for 2+ years and may still be nursing, I've not heard form her
in a while. Even long distance support can be/is beneficial. She in turn
supported her younger sister to BF her first baby about 9 months later. The
younger cousin nursed for 1+ years. They have nursed each other babies when
needed. Wouldn't that be great?
