Introduction
I am Barbara Berges, RN, IBCLC, and retired LLLL.  I am the mother of
four children.  I am currently employed as the LC at a hospital in Rochester,
 New York.  Due to a decline in number of births recently, my inhospital
hours have been cut back.  I am trying to develop a proposal to expand
my lactation support services to the primary care sites owned by the
hospital.  Last week someone asked for a reference on a study done by
one of the big managed-care outfits (maybe Kaiser-Permanente) on the
cost-effectiveness of lactation services.  I could really use that reference!
