I work in a Hospital in NY. When pts. are admitted in L&D we are required to
fill out a form with information the HIV status. Was she counseled in
pregnancy to be tested? Does she know her results? Did she get tested prior
to preg.? Did she refuse testing?Who is care provider in preg., who is
followup care for baby?
HIV testing is not mandatory but strongly suggested..
