My fingers were obviously moving faster than my brain (I am NOT a morning
person and started posting at 7:45 AM!)

My earlier sentence about lack of antibodies should have included the
following phrase: "when the baby is not breastfed."  Thus it would have
read.... "....control for HOW the baby was fed, in view of the known
absence of antibodies to comment elements in the baby's environment when
the baby is not breastfed?"

Got it.  SOrry about that.  :-)
