Dear Members of LACTNET,

I remember a previous discussion on the topic of the Kaiser study with
the decreased medical costs in the first year of life of children that were
breastfed (my remembrance was the number was $400/infant). I am writing a
grant to try to fund increased breast-feeding education, and the funding
organization would like some "business - financial" reasons to support
public health initiatives. It would really help if folks could send me the
actual cost saved per year that was quoted, who did the study and where it
was performed, if it was published - which journal, contact phone
numbers/addresses for the folks who were involved in the study, etc.
Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions about this post.

              Thanks!
