The following email was sent to me recently and mom gave me permission to
post for further info on Lactnet.  She wrote back and told me she was given
another med, desonide, thinking it wasn't scabies is the first place, but
since she did so much research online and found not ok-ed in US, tho in other
countries, she's curious. (I quoted Hale who basically states "not known if
excreted in milk")

Anyone have information or experience with its use?

discard my breastmilk before it is safe again for my infant (less than a week
old) if I must be treated with permethrin 5% cream.  Please let me know.
Like I said no one including doctors can give me an answer and breastfeeding
is important to me.
