Making nursery rounds today I went in to talk to the mom of a
48 hour old baby who was 90% of birth weight. Staff has trying
to help mom latch baby who was fussy and not attempting to
latch well.
I was wondering if finger feeding or even just sucking on a
finger would help.
Mom soon announced she doesn't want to BF, story is it wasn't her desire to
begin with but there is a lot more to that.
Still I'm wondering what would have helped the acute situation?
