Official recommendation in The Netherlands is 6 months exclusively and as long as mom wants thereafter. Moms have a rght to use up to 25% of their paid work hours to breastfeed or provide milk during the first 9 months after delivery. But in the guidelines in the healthy baby clinics breastfeeding is not mentioned much after 6 months.
