Is there anything published or studied about babies under one year behaving like a Nursing Strike after having been separated from Mom for a length of time.

I have a mom of a 6 month old in a Custody case.  Baby was separated from mom for 36 hours last weekend.  When returned, refused to nurse for about 10 hours.  Baby was also unhappy during this time.  Have heard of this from other mom's, but would like to provide something published for her Lawyer.
