All of us TV-generation persons can probably remember some
monumentally bad advertising over the years. (the jingles may come back
to haunt us in our dreams...double your pleasure, double your fun
with--------- gum...)
Even though the poor soul in Eureka gives us the willies, think
of all the people reading the word breastfeeding! And lactate! (Walter
Cronkite couldn't say it, but obviously all these radio announcers can.)
The more these words become part of our everyday vocabulary, the
better. (That's my 2 cents worth.)
And hey -- I've seen a massive phantom letdown with a big
prolactin surge. The Vermont LCA Conference last year had a lovely baby
whose squeaks had quite a few of us in "please don't squirt" mode (hands
pressed discreetly across breasts...and believe me all our big kids were
home!)
