Talked for a long time to a nurse friend in Watertown New York yesterday
afternoon to find out she had miscarriage # 3 in a row in the middle of the
ice storm this weekend. Husband is gone to Louisiana for military
training. She's having to deal with losing the baby alone and the ice
storm to boot. Trying to get to the hospital while bleeding heavily and
cramping was a nightmare for her-fallen trees, split electric poles and
electrical wires on the road. She said almost everyone who cared for her
was so worried about the ice storm and the havoc it was causing that she
couldn't get the support she needed in New York, so she called to work
through her grief with me. She's thankful she's got her electricity on
today. Thankful for only having light snow today.
