Happy WBW everyone. I am busy baking "breast" cupcakes. My ds said
"WOW,what smells good", when I replied "breast cupcakes". He said
"suddenly I'm not hungry anymore". DS is 18yo, LOL and mostly
embarrassed by my occupation ;-). I have a display in our local
supermarket for a "baby shower gift basket" with a banner that states in
Celebration for WBW" It is sponsored by WIC. Has lots of goodies a new
mom would like: diapers, bibs, onesies, rattle, WIC juice and cereal,
foam puzzle blocks, WIC incentives: water bottle, snack cup, sippy
cup("juice from my cup, milk from my mommy" from noodle soup), WIC pen,
bandaid dispenser etc, etc. you get the idea. Basket is wrapped in
clear wrap with huge yellow bow and ribbon, the basket itself is a wicker
laundry basket. I've got over 200 entries in two days! At least that
many people have seen the words: World Breastfeeding Week, so that makes
me happy! My WIC luncheon for breastfeeding mothers is this Saturday as
is a Walk for Breastfeeding on Sunday. I will be speaking on
Breastfeeding in the information age on Tuesday in Northampton, MA. at a
luncheon for LC's, WIC Bfing Folks, LLL Leaders etc. I'm nervous but
excited!
