Julie,
  If you have a good chiropractor/accupuncturist that might be of some assistance.  The one that I go to does accupuncture using electrical stimulation without needles, it has been very helpful with my little guy over many different issues from teething to constipation.  Granted, he hasn't been screaming constantly.  But that's my two cents.  Best wishes, I'll keep you and your couplet in my prayers.
