I had a mammogram yesterday. I am nursing a 2.3 yr old. The breast surgeon
who ordered the test said that their facility was "state of the arts" and
wouldn't have a problem reading through a lactating breast, so I guess it
all depend of where this mother is going to have it done. Have her look for
a facility that can accommodate her situation. It will be a shame if she is
forced to wean a one month old, especially given the family breast cancer
history.
