a little behind, sorry:)  could she have yeast deep in her ducts?  I have been studying for the test and there was some info on prolonged or recurrent "mastitis" I jsut finished reading.  it said that nipple openings , like fissures or cracks can lead to a mastitis, and with the moms history of taking antibiotis, this could further  have predisposed her. (and YIKES she didn t finish the rx?!?!?!)  good luck:)
