Ok, it is seriously late and I'm exhausted. Please ignore any errors. (I'm
also nursing and typing with one hand). Today as I mentioned in a earlier
post, Dr Phil was on Oprah and bashing co-sleeping. I'm disturbed by this
greatly and hope some of you wrote her show defending this practice. I feel
Oprah's show has a HUGE responsibility to present "experts" representing
both
sides of this topic. ( Dr. James McKenna..how about Dr. Jay Gordon...oh heck
Dr. Sears even Peggy O' Mara, finally,..... last but not least Dr.
Jack??????)
I'd put any of these guys up to Dr. Phil anytime! I think all these kids
would do a great job educating the public about the joys and the convenience
of this type of parenting.

There are compelling reasons to induce. But like every other intervention it
should be the last resort and done when the benefit truly outweighs the
risk. Many interventions at birth were designed to be used in the most dire
circumstances. Unfortunately, through time these interventions are now used
routinely. For example: Pitocin, forceps, vacuum, inductions, episiotomies,
cytotec, and c-section. We are in a horrible epidemic. It is profoundly
affecting mothers and babes.

I have enjoyed all the posts regarding this topic today, such wisdom! We all
should be angry but what do we do? How can we be proactive AND far reaching?

Ok, I'm off to bed now......with my baby!!!
