The reference I have, F. C. Odds Candida and Candidosis, 2nd Ed, says on p 14:
"The pathogenic Candida species usually die within minutes at temperatures
above 50 degrees Celsius [122F] although in one study C.albicans in a rich
nutrient broth took 1 h to die at 70C and it survived the temperatures
within composted sewerage" [!!]

This is the reason we suggest in the LC Series Unit 18 on Candidiasis and
Breastfeeding to wash laundry in very hot water.

So, I doubt that heating milk would kill the thrush, but I agree with the
rest of what you said.

Now you've given me another idea for a nice little research project: looking
at candida in breastmilk after heating the milk to different temperatures.....
