Re: << One of my colleagues has a client who had used a Medela 'Pump in Style' for 3 months with a prem. The client would like to sell it and my
colleague would like us to buy it for loan to moms in similar
situations. The collection kits are readily available.

While I'd love to have such an item, but impression from discussions
here is that this is not the most appropriate suggestion. The pump is
not intended for multi-users and the catalogue clearly states that.=20

My agency normally does not deal in breast pumps, except to give away
manual pumps to moms in need, or give information about where to buy
them. >>

In addition to the lit re: Pump-N-Style as not being a single-user pump, I believe Medela's lit also does not promote it for establishing lactation or round-the-clock use for long-periods as needed for most prems... Although I know this pump may work for some (multips who've lactated before?) with prems, my anecdotal info with MOT/MOM indicate that lit is correct. Even those who can obtain adequate volume often find it takes a lot of time to do so. May beat nothing but is not the pump to promote for the situation mentioned, perhaps??
