For the mom who has been diagnosed with GBS mastitis -- Has she had a
culture of the wound or her milk?  I didn't see this mentioned in her post.
 Perhaps another organism is responsible and a different antibiotic is
needed.  Also, has she had systemic treatment for yeast?
In this case, an infectious disease doctor might not be such a bad idea,
since their entire practice focus is figuring out what iscausing an
infection and fixing it.
Mom can let the ID doc know that continued breastfeeding is a very important
goal to her, and that she can help with references for determining if a med
is safe to continue to use.
