IUD's are not real popular in my neck of the woods -- scares from older types
and the fact that they have to wait -- for the cervix to close -- so they do
not get expelled

--- Here in our neck of the woods -- doc/pat want an instant fix. Hense my
recommendations for patients -- though all avenues are explored and discussed in
most cases.  I just neglected to mention the IUD because it is now so rare an
option provided in my little corner of the world.

And yes we do seem to have a whole bunch of young 1st time single mom's that
doc's are giving the depo shot without informed consent -- but once it is done
-- there is not much a new Mom can do. Cannot sue if she has no cash and no
"real" harm can be proven.
