What a call I just received. I am steaming and need help. A mom is
visiting here to help a sick relative. Mom has a 10 week old baby. Mom
was hospitalized with severe ear infection. Our wonderful military
hospital would not accomodate having baby with mom---so baby is with an
unknown sitter. Second, mom was put on medications and told to pump and
dump. Why not give meds that are compatible? Doctor told mom he could
give her a dry up pill. Mom has been asking for help with pumping.
Suffered through two days of engourgement until hospital gave her a pump.
Still not getting any help with the pump. They will not release her
until she gets her own pump. They are treating her like a prisoner. I
checked the medications in Hale's '96 book, but would like to hear your
opinions. Mom is on Nafcillin, Cipro and Roxicet for pain. I couldn't
find Roxicet in HAle's book (mom is allergic to codeine).

Thanks

Gloria Thai LLLLeader Hawai'i who is still boiling over this one
