We went through a lead scare just a few months ago with my own family.  We
had been doing some painting and wallpapering and thought the baby had picked
up lead dust from that.  The ped also told me I should wean..  Turned out the
lead was from our old cast iron tub!  I got a good article from the web on
lead in tubs.  Ask mom how the family bathes - does Dad take a shower and mom
take a bath?  Good luck!
