Hi all, I'm an RN who works in a level 2+ NICU in Michigan, and have a
special interest in breastfeeding of premature infants which is why I've
joined this list. If anyone knows of upcoming conferences that address this
topic, I'd very much appreciate the information. Please feel free to respond
to me off the list.

I also wanted to address the question below. DHA and AA are receiving a lot
of attention lately, but I think your nurse got her information confused.

Information from a large study can be found here:

sp>

DHA and AA are found in breastmilk in small amounts, so the question was
whether they should also be added to formula. The studies never questioned
whether the amount in breastmilk was sufficient.
