I can tell you that I have seen some pretty awful marketing by Avent
here in the UAE. Free bottles with purchase offers, glossy catalogues
with father's bottle feeding babies with captions "fathers can bond with
the baby while bottle feeding". The teats claim to be like a nipple and
many stores have a television with an Avent infomercial constantly
running with details about how to make up formula feeds. I wrote them a
letter of complaint citing the Code but they had no idea what I was
talking about and have not responded to any subsequent letters. They
aren't the worst company here for violating the Code but certainly
significant.
