A mom here (second hand info only) took the baby to the doc with runny
purple poop. Baby had been sick with diarrhea from a bug of some kind, and
she had been told to feed pedialyte until baby didn't have diarrhea
anymore. Baby had been on an exclusive diet of purple pedialyte for three
days (!!!), and mom didn't realize that was contributing to continued
diarrhea.

They really just don't know.
