After reading the posts on Avent nipple shields, I visited their
website (www.avent.com) and found some interesting information.

They show a picture of a nipple shield that has a base that looks
rectangular instead of round, which might be what some of you have
seen. What bothered me was how they describe the product (copying from
their site):

Nipple Protectors

    * Worn during breastfeeding to help to protect sore and cracked
nipples and minimize pain
    * Shaped to allow skin contact with baby, and are odorless and tasteless
    * Made of silicone, can be cleaned or sterilized easily
    * Includes two silicone nipple protectors

I was also surprised to see that Avent now has a double electric
breast pump, the Isis iQ Duo. Does anyone have any experience with
this?

They also have a Comfort Breast Shell set, which includes breast milk
collection shells with a pouring spout (?), the Niplette (I didn't
realize this was being marketed by Avent), and a powder formula
dispenser and snack cup (?). Fascinating . . .
