Dear Marsha,

I am so broken-hearted to hear you were actually fired! If I can be of any
help (I don't care about burning anymore bridges there) I would be happy to
support you. I ended my six years there because I could not witness
anymore patient neglect, as if the lack of education, support, and respect
for clients wasn't frustrating enough.

You made much more progress there than I ever expected possible. I know a
lot of times you felt you stood alone within that facility - a sheep among
the wolves. There are so many battles to fight in maternal & child health,
particularly in the large teaching hospitals. Staying as long as you did,
through so much grief, shows your passion for the profession and your
loyality to moms and babies. Your time there was not spent in vain. I
admire your perservance and applaud your successes - yes, numerous
successes.

Remain strong in your faith.
God Bless,
Penny Lane
