An update on the baby I've written about in the past.

The baby was evaluated by the pediatrician who detected a heart murmur. She
was referred to a pediatric cardiologist who did some preliminary tests. He
suspects a ventricular septal defect, but says it could also be atrial
septal defect. They are scheduling an echocardiogram for next week.

The pediatric cardiologist insisted that whatever the problem was it wasn't
serious enough to cause the feeding problems she is experiencing. He said
that the feeding problem is secondary to whatever caused the defect in the
first place. Nobody told the parents what that could be or what that meant.

So they know a little more but not enough to help them solve the feeding
problems that she is experiencing.

Anybody out there who has worked with this sort of case? I could sure use
some input, suggestions and support.
