The only hitch that I can think of is that you can either make your facebook site very private or very public. People must be invited to view your site. Problems arise when strangers can look at details. I am sure that there are ways of getting around it. The best thing to do would be to take a peek.

Ditto. I joined about 2 months ago, feeling like I needed to be on, to be a
fully computer literate person these days.

My impression has been exactly the same as yours. I keep hoping I will find
something that I didn't see/understand before.

I emailed Kathleen - maybe she can enlighten us. The only think I can think
of, is that we would be able to see pictures of each other!

Hi Kathleen, I have recently been dragged onto facebook by a friend (much to

the horror of my kids! My daughter explained 'facebook is for YOUNG people,

mother' and, to be honest, I can't really see the point. (Perhaps that is
why its not for me?) I wonder if you would kindly explain what facebook
would provide that lactnet doesn't.

Magda
lumbering into her second half century and sometimes needing all this
new-fangled stuff explained carefully and clearly.
