Although it is assumed that our physical bodies are not capable of
extracting the natural progesterone from the wild yam, I have for many years
used wild yam to stimulate and increase the production of progesterone
naturally in the body. The use of this herb has shown increases in the
progesterone levels by blood test. However, it is undetermined if the wild
yam is stimulating the glands to produce their own progesterone or if the
body is actually able to extract the natural progesterone from the wild yam
during the digestive process and use it.
This herb has been a great help in preventing early miscarriage in
progesterone deficient women as well as increasing energy levels and
decreasing swelling of joints in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis type
disease states (including lupus!).
If you require additional information on the use of this or any other herbal
in pregnancy, breastfeeding or average daily life, please don't hesitate to
contact me directly.

Wishing you health and wellness!
