"Nurses have been known to "eat their young" by dumping the "dirty work" and
worst shifts, etc. to the youngest nurses - who either swim or leave the
profession - after performing badly! It is important that we DO NOT follow
that model! What CAN we each do to help nourish our young?"
May I humbly suggest that all of us who are not already part of a lay counseling group go to their meetings a few times a year? I've learned wonderful lessons in caring, compassion, nurturing, and mentoring, from both leaders and mothers in those groups.
